Texas A&M's Danielle McVeigh fired a three-under-par 69 on Thursday to extend her lead to seven strokes at the World University Games at Watermills Golf Club.
The sophomore-to-be led Ireland to an eighth-stroke advantage in the team standings going into Friday's final round.
Great Britain's Anna Scott (71-79-73=223) is McVeigh's nearest challenger. McVeigh has an even-par total of 72-75-69=216.
