The Texas A&M men's golf team is ranked No. 11 nationally in the the preseason Golf World/Nike Coaches' poll released on Wednesday.
In their seventh season under Head Coach J.T. Higgins, the experienced Aggies return all five starters from last year's team that was the runner-up at the Big 12 Championship and was ranked 13th at the end of the season.
Junior Bronson Burgoon is a returning All-American and, along with seniors Bobby Gates and Martin Piller, earned All-Big 12 honors last spring. Senior Trey Todd and sophomore Austin Schauer also are returning starters.
The Aggies open the season at the Inverness Intercollegiate Sept. 10-11 in Toledo, Ohio.
Defending NCAA champion Stanford is ranked No. 1 with Alabama, Georgia, Florida and UCLA rounding out the top five.
