After posting shutouts over Dartmouth and College of Charleston in front of over 8,000 fans on opening weekend, the Texas A&M soccer team jumped to No. 2 in the Soccer Buzz poll, No. 3 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and No. 4 in the Soccer America and Soccer Times polls, released this week.
The No. 2 bid marks the highest rank for the Aggies in program history. Portland defeated Florida State and Oregon State to take over the top spot in all four standings.
The Aggies travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. this weekend to take part in the Carolina Nike Classic. On Friday A&M will face the defending national champion Tar Heels at 5:30 p.m. and the Duke Blue Devils on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
