The 3rd-ranked Texas A&M soccer team will close out its East Coast tour this weekend in State College, Pa. as it takes on a pair of top-notch opponents in No. 14 West Virginia and No. 15 Penn State. Friday?â„¢s game against WVU is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Jeffrey Field.

?This is going to be a very difficult weekend for us,? A&M head coach G Guerrieri said. ?Friday night?â„¢s game against West Virginia will be a stern test and a great evaluation of how good our team is on the road, in a northern climate, against a nationally ranked opponent. And then Sunday?â„¢s match will be pose another incredible challenge as we take on the Big Ten?â„¢s premier program in Penn State, on their home field.?

West Virginia improved to 3-1-0 on the season after a pair of wins last weekend. The Mountaineers posted a 3-1 win over the University of Rhode Island on Friday. Senior forward Kim Bonilla netted two goals on the night for her third career multi-goal game. WVU picked up another victory on Sunday, defeating No. 15 Penn State, 1-0.

Senior forward Kiley Harris was named West Virginia University?â„¢s athlete of the week for her contributions in the Mountaineers?â„¢ wins over the weekend. Harris?â„¢ first goal of the season, seventh of her career, served as the game-winner in Sunday?â„¢s match-up.

Friday?â„¢s match will serve as the first meeting between A&M and WVU.

Penn State enters Sunday?â„¢s match against the Aggies having split a pair of games last weekend. PSU defeated No. 17 Connecticut on Thursday, 1-0. Senior forward Aubrey Aden-Buie notched the lone goal on the evening. After their 1-0 loss to then No. 23 West Virginia on Sunday the Nittany Lions come in at even 2-2-0.

Aden-Buie currently leads the Nittany Lions in scoring this season with two goals, bringing her career total to 19.

Sunday?â„¢s game marks the fifth meeting between A&M and Penn State. In their last match-up, the teams battled to a 1-1 draw in 2006 at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.

Texas A&M carries a 3-1-0 record into the weekend. The Aggies dropped a tough match to No. 3 North Carolina on Friday. Senior forward Ashlee Pistorius netted her fourth goal of the season, in the 1-2 loss to the Tar Heels. A&M downed a solid Duke side, 2-0 on Sunday. Junior midfielder Laura Grace Robinson put the Aggies on the scoreboard in the 33rd minute, netting her first goal of the season. Senior forward Melissa Garey added an insurance goal in the second half to put the game away.

Garey dished out a career high two assists in the 4-0 win over the College of Charleston on Sept. 2. The Gonzales, Louisiana native has totaled 11 in her career. Her goal on Sunday moves her into 7th all-time for career goals (32). Garey shares the honor with Yvette Okler who played for the Aggies from ?â„¢93-?â„¢96.
