The No. 17-ranked Texas A&M men?â„¢s golf team closed with a 307 on Tuesday and finished fourth at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at Oak Tree Golf Club.
The Aggies finished with a 54-hole score of 900 in the 11-team event.
SMU (892) won the team title at the 7,412-yard, par-71 Oak Tree Golf Club after a sudden-death playoff with Texas Tech (892).
Arkansas finished third (899), followed by A&M (900), Baylor (904), Oklahoma (912), Santa Clara (930), Tulsa (935), Oral Roberts (938), Texas-San Antonio (957), and Stephen F. Austin (975).
Arkansas?â„¢s Jason Turner (72-71-72=215) won individual honors.
A&M was led by freshman Ignacio Elvira, who tied for 7th (76-71-77=224). Senior Bobby Gates (71-76-78=225) and sophomore Andrea Pavan (79-73-73=224) tied for 9th, senior Martin Piller tied for 27th (73-80-79=232), and freshman Conrad Shindler finished 40th (76-77-84=237).
The Aggies continue the fall season at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational Oct. 21-23 in Windermere, Fla.
