The Texas A&M women's golf team carded a 299 on Tuesday and is in seventh place after two rounds of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Angel Park Mountain Golf Course. The final round is Wednesday.
Denver leads the team standings with rounds of 285-285=570, followed by Arizona (575), Tennessee (579), Kent State (581), Pepperdine (588), Oklahoma State (590), A&M (296-299=595), TCU (596), Missouri (597), New Mexico (598), BYU (607), Washington (609), UNLV (611), Eastern Washington (612), Idaho (612), SMU (617), Colorado State (620) and Long Beach State (632).
Denver's Katie Kempter is the individual leader at 67-69=136. A&M's Lauren Johnson is tied for eighth at 71-73=144.
The Aggies' Danielle McVeigh is tied for 15th (74-73=147), Ashley Freeman is tied for 46th (74-77=151), Sarah Zwartynski is tied for 57th (77-76=153) and Sara Hemingway is tied for 85th (79-84=163).
