Texas A&M senior forward Ashlee Pistorius was named the Soccer America Women?â„¢s Player of the Week and a member of the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week, editors of the magazines announced.
Pistorius earned both honors after posting her sixth career hat-trick against Baylor on Friday. The All-American tossed in a fourth goal to give her the national lead in both goals scored (23) and points per game (2.74).
The Soccer Buzz accolade was the fourth time in her career that Pistorius has made the Elite Team of the Week.
Pistorius and the 2nd-ranked Texas A&M soccer team head to San Antonio to face the Iowa State Cyclones in the 2007 Big 12 Soccer Championships. The match is slated for 11:30 a.m. at the Blossom Soccer Complex.
