No. 15-ranked Texas A&M will battle UTEP in the finals of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off South Regional on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Reed Arena.
The winner will advance to the NIT Season Tip-Off semifinals on Nov. 23 at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden. The South Regional winner will play the winner of tonight's Washington-Utah game in the West Regional.
A&M and UTEP are both 2-0 after posting first-round wins on Tuesday. A&M defeated Oral Roberts (67-53) and UTEP beat TAMU-Corpus Christi (77-62).
The Miners are 3-0 all-time against A&M but have never visited College Station. The teams last met in 1981-82, with UTEP posting a 60-40 win in El Paso.
