No. 13-seed Texas A&M downed 9th-seeded Oklahoma State, 3-2, on Monday in the third round of the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship at the Ginn Reunion Resort.

No. 5 Tennessee edged the Aggies, 3-2, in the second round, which was called because of darkness on Sunday and was completed Monday morning.
In the win against OSU, A&M got victories from Lauren Johnson (1 up vs. Karin Kinnerud), Sarah Zwartynski (1 up vs. Amanda Johnson) and Ashley Freeman (5 and 3 vs. Sarah Bradley). The Cowgirls got wins from Pernilla Lindberg (5 and 4 vs. Danielle McVeigh) and Tammy Clelland (1 up vs. Sara Hemingway).
Against Tennessee, Zwartynski defeated Rebecca Watson (2 and 1) and Freeman beat Rachel Ingram (2 up). The Volunteers posted wins by Ginny Brown (3 and 1 vs. Miranda Orr), Nicole Smith (2 up vs. Hemingway) and Diana Cantu (3 and 2 vs. Johnson).
Freeman and Zwartynski are undefeated in their first three matches.
