Texas A&M forward Ashlee Pistorius has been named one of 15 semifinalists for the 2007 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the association released.

During a stellar senior campaign, Pistorius not only broke the Big 12 career record for goals scored and total points, but the Bloomington, Ill. - native also shattered A&M?â„¢s career record in both categories, finishing her four-year stint in Aggieland with 81 goals and 194 points. Pistorius ranks sixth all-time in the Aggie record book for assists (32).

Pistorius ended the ?â„¢07 season with a league-leading 25 goals and was named the Big 12?â„¢s Offensive Player of the Year, also earning a spot on the all-conference first team and all-tournament team.

The M.A.C Hermann Trophy is college soccer?â„¢s version of the Heisman Trophy and represents the highest level of individual achievement in the sport. Pistorius was selected as a semifinalist by a committee of Division I coaches who are NSCAA members.

Three finalists will be named on Dec. 14, and will be invited to the M.A.C. in St. Louis, on Jan. 11, 2008. The winner of the 2007 award will be announced during a nationally-televised news conference that evening.
