Texas A&M soccer sensation, Ashlee Pistorius, who was named one of three finalist for the 2007 Missouri Athletic Club?â„¢s Hermann Trophy, is set to attend a banquet in St. Louis on Friday, Jan. 11 where the winner of the award will be revealed.
The Hermann Trophy honors the top male and female Division I college soccer players in the United States. Pistorius along with UCLA?â„¢s Lauren Cheney and Florida State?â„¢s Mami Yamaguchi were named finalists for the award on Dec. 14.
A news conference will be held during the banquet at which time the winner will be named. The announcement will be carried live on ESPNews (6 p.m. CST).
Pistorius concluded a senior campaign in which she registered her sixth-career hat trick en route to becoming A&M and the Big 12?â„¢s all-time leader in goals scored (81) and points (194). The Bloomington, Ill.-native started 92 consecutive matches as a forward in the Aggie attack, posting 21 multi-goal games.
The winners of the award are selected through voting by the members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
