The defending Big 12 champion Texas A&M baseball team is ranked 21st by Baseball America in the publication's preseason poll, released Tuesday.
The Big 12 placed four teams in the rankings, including No. 6 Missouri, No. 15 Baylor, No. 16 Texas and the 21st-ranked Aggies.
The Pac-10 held the top two spots, with UCLA and Arizona ranking No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and North Carolina rounded out the top five.
The Aggies return 19 letterwinners, six position starters and two starting pitchers from a 2007 squad that went 48-19 and claimed the Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma City and the NCAA College Station Regional crown.
Texas A&M opens the 2008 season on February 22 at 6:30 p.m. when the Aggies host Northern Colorado. Season and single-game tickets for the home schedule, which features 39 games, are available now by calling 888-99-AGGIE or by logging on to www.aggieathletics.com.
