The defending Big 12 champion Texas A&M soccer team kicks off its 2008 spring season on Sunday as it hosts its 13th annual 7v7 Tournament at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
Sunday?â„¢s 7v7 tournament consists of nine teams playing on three different fields, one on the South Side and one on the North Side of the Aggie Soccer Stadium and another on the infield of the Anderson Track & Field Complex (adjacent to the soccer stadium). Games will begin at 10 a.m. and run through 4 p.m.
The Aggies will open tournament play at 11 a.m. against Rice with matches against North Texas and Baylor to follow at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively.
A&M will close out tournament action with an alumni game at 4 p.m. All games will be 50 minutes in duration.
A&M will be without freshman forward Rachel Shipley, who is currently playing with the U20 National Team in Chile.
Admission is free to the public.
