The No. 25-ranked Texas A&M women?â„¢s golf team sits tied for third after Monday?â„¢s two rounds of competition at the Central District Invitational at the River Wilderness Golf Club.
Lauren Johnson (74+74=148) leads all Aggies and is currently tied for 6th on the individual leader board at 4 over par. Also in the top ten for the Aggies, Ashley Freeman (73+76=149) finished tied for 8th at 5 over par.
Michigan State leads the tournament after posting a two round score of 589. The Spartans also had the day?â„¢s top performer and only golfer to finish under par after two rounds. Sara Brown shot consecutive rounds of 70 to finish the day 4 under par.
Kent State (603) finished the day in 2nd followed by Texas A&M (604) and Ohio State (604). Texas (607), Missouri (611), Notre Dame (615), Indiana (615), Michigan (616), SMU (622), Nebraska (622), Oklahoma (625), Northwestern (626), Baylor (631), and Kansas State (646) rounded out the field.
The Texas A&M women?â„¢s golf team will play the third and final round of tournament competition Tuesday.
