The reigning Big 12 champion Texas A&M soccer team is set to face-off opposite the Mexico U20 National Team Saturday in its first full-sided match of the year. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.

?This weekend is a super opportunity for our young players to compete against great opposition as we move along with our player development program,? A&M head coach G Guerrieri said.

?The Mexico game should be fun for everyone in attendance. Mexico is in the middle of their preparations to qualify for the upcoming FIFA Women's U20 World Cup to be held in Chile. So, we expect to see a talented and sophisticated Mexican side on Saturday morning at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.

?Anytime we play against a National Team, especially from a country with a soccer culture as great as M?©xico, our players are going to be challenged physically and psychologically more than we'd normally see in a collegiate match.?

Texas A&M is coming off an undefeated run through its annual 7v7 Tournament held at the Aggie Soccer Stadium on Feb. 17.

Freshman Rachel Shipley, who returned from playing with the USA U20 National Team in Chile in time to play the final three games, was the Aggies leading scorer on the day recording three goals and three assists.

Sixteen-year-old Charlyn Corral highlights Mexico?â„¢s talented roster. Corral was the top scorer with eight goals at the last CONCACAF qualifiers for the FIFA U20 Women's World Championship in Russia in 2006.

Tickets prices will be $9 for adults and $6 for children high school age and under. Texas A&M students with a sports pass will be admitted free of charge.
