Three victories highlighted the Aggies performance as they attempted to improve their standing on the NCAA provisional list prior to Monday?â„¢s selection of individuals who will make up the field for the NCAA Indoor Championships, held March 14-15.

Texas A&M athletes competed at the Arkansas Last Chance meet held in the Randal Tyson Complex, the same site of the NCAA Championship meet next weekend. An Aggie men?â„¢s 4 x 400 relay unit will compete on Saturday in Ames, Iowa.

Allison George won the 60 meters in 7.44 seconds, but didn?â„¢t improve upon her season best of 7.39. George also placed third in the 200 with a NCAA provisional time of 23.77 while teammate Gabby Mayo ran 24.10 for sixth place. George established an indoor personal best in the 200, bettering her previous mark of 23.95.

The other pair of A&M victories came in the triple jump. Zuheir Sharif led a 1-2 Aggie finish as his mark of 50-6 (50-6) bettered teammate Tyron Stewart?™s effort of 49-7 ?Ľ (15.12). In the women?™s triple jump Yasmine Regis produced a leap of 41-6 (12.65) to finish ahead of teammate Angela Thomas, who was second with a 41-0 ?Ľ (12.50). All four jumpers had betters marks from this indoor season.

Sandy Wooten produced an indoor career best in the 400, running 54.26 for third place.

In the 60 meters Richard Adu-Bobie ran 6.77 twice, first in the prelims and then for third place in the final. Dominique Stafford placed fourth with a 6.82 in the final after recording a 6.83 in the prelims.

Lindsey Adams and Mayo each ran faster in the prelims of the 60 hurdles than the finals. Adams clocked 8.48 just ahead of Mayo?â„¢s 8.49. In the final Adams placed sixth in 8.51 while Mayo was seventh in 8.64.
