The Texas A&M women?â„¢s basketball team (23-7) moved up six spots to No. 11 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll released on Monday. The Aggies were previously ranked No. 17 in last week?â„¢s AP Poll.
A&M most recently captured back-to-back wins over two top 10-ranked opponents in upsets of No. 8 Baylor (72-53) on March 3 and No. 10 Oklahoma (73-59) on March 6. Their current No. 11 national ranking tied as the second-highest of the year. It also marked the seventh time this season A&M has been ranked higher than 11th in both national polls. The ESPN/USA TODAY Coaches Top 25 Poll will be released on Tuesday.
As the Big 12 Conference?â„¢s hottest team, Texas A&M has won 10 of its last 11 games and closed out the regular season in a tie for third place with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
