The first pitch of Tuesday?â„¢s series opener between No. 16 Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin at Olsen Field will remain at 6:30 p.m., school officials announced Monday.
The Aggies explored the possibility of bumping up game time so as not to fully conflict with the women?â„¢s basketball team?â„¢s NCAA Elite Eight matchup with Tennessee in Oklahoma City, slated to start at 6 p.m., but were unable to accommodate SFA?â„¢s travel plans.
?As soon as we found out what time Coach Blair and the women would be playing on Tuesday, we contacted Stephen F. Austin about the possibility of moving the start time up a few hours,? A&M coach Rob Childress said. ?Unfortunately, with classes and other obligations, they were not able to leave Nacogdoches any earlier than scheduled so the game will stay at 6:30 p.m. I encourage our fans that come out to cheer us on tomorrow to bring their radios and follow the Aggie women as they shoot for the Final Four.?
