The back-to-back Big 12 Conference champion Texas A&M women?â„¢s basketball team will be honored for their record-setting season at the team?â„¢s annual celebration banquet to be held on Thursday, April 17 at 6 p.m. at The Zone Club at Kyle Field.
The event is open to the public and cost is $20 per person. Reservations can be made by calling the Texas A&M women?â„¢s basketball office at (979) 845-0565 or by e-mailing DeAnna Doles at ddoles@athletics.tamu.edu. Tickets should be reserved by Friday, April 11.
This past season, the nationally-ranked and second-seeded Aggies reached the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time in program history and earned an automatic bid to the Big Dance after capturing their first-ever postseason Big 12 Championship title in Kansas City. A&M compiled a school-record 29 overall victories and finished the season ranked a program-best No. 8 nationally in the final Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
Head Coach Gary Blair and his staff will recap the season, while graduating seniors Morenike Atunrase (Shreveport, La.), A?â„¢Quonesia Franklin (Tyler, Texas), LaToya Gulley (Fayetteville, Ark.), Katy Pounds (Shallowater, Texas) and Patrice Reado (Houston, Texas) will be honored during the ceremony along with other award winners from the season. Additionally, a season highlight video produced by 12th Man Productions will be shown during the banquet.
Parking for the team banquet will be available in both the Koldus or West Campus Garages. Dress is business casual.
