Texas A&M equestrian signee Dana Hall (Kerrville) has been ranked as the top rider in the nation for the 14-18 age group according to the American Paint Horse Association (APHA).
In addition to being ranked the No. 1 14-18 Youth, she was also in the top position on the Youth Honor Roll for 2007 in hunt seat equitation, showmanship, trail, and western horsemanship in the APHA. She ranked among the top five in hunter under saddle, reining, western pleasure and western riding as well.
Hall won both the youth western horsemanship and youth showmanship 14-18 world championship titles on her horse Booker T in 2007. She also earned the Zone 4 Youth Champion 14-18 honor after competing in shows from coast to coast this year. The honor is the highest a youth rider can win in the APHA.
?We are excited to have Dana join our team this fall,? horsemanship coach Beth Bass said. ?I believe that she will have an immediate impact upon our team in her first season. Dana is a versatile all-around rider and her success this past year should lend well to her collegiate career.?
Hall is trained by father Harlan and Dominique Brumford of Kerrville. She will begin pursuit of a degree in business at Texas A&M in the fall.
