Texas A&M pitcher/first baseman Megan Gibson was named a National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American in recognition of her achievement in the development of improved athletic performance through total conditioning.

?Megan came to us a good athlete and will leave here as one of the great ones because of her work ethic, her competitiveness, and her ?team first? attitude both in the weight room and on the field, A&M strength and conditioning coach Raychelle Ellsworth said. ?She leads by example and expects great things from herself and her teammates. I could not have too many Megan?â„¢s on my team.?

For 18-straight games this season, the two-time All-American has posted a sub-one ERA, currently sitting at a league-best 0.94. Gibson leads the conference in wins (25), walks (39), doubles (12), shutouts (11), innings pitched (171) and complete games (24)?...She ranks second in strikeouts (192) and opponents batting average (.166).
