DALLAS- Texas A&M's Ashley Freeman defeated LSU's Lindy LaBauve 4 and 3 on Saturday to win the prestigious Women's Trans National Amateur at Bent Tree Country Club.
Freeman, who will be a junior at A&M this fall, earned honorable mention All-America honors in May after tying for eighth place at the NCAA Championship.
“I’ve played in three TRANS Championships and I suppose the third is the charm,” Freeman said.
