COLLEGE STATION, Texas- Texas A&M head football coach Mike Sherman welcomed the Aggie football players back to campus on Sunday in time for the evening meal at Duncan Dining Hall on the campus of Texas A&M.
“Duncan Dining Hall is a dining facility on our campus and I thought an appropriate place for our team to gather for our evening meal,” Sherman said. “There is a lot of history and tradition surrounding Duncan. It was important to take a moment and count all of our blessings, which includes the brave men and women of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets who have served, and continue to serve our country in our military.”
Everyone reported to campus that Coach Sherman expected except running back Keondra Smith from Tyler who was excused due to a death in his family. Smith is expected to be on campus on Monday.
Two recruits from the initial signing class in February did not meet NCAA eligibility requirements and did not report to campus. Derrick Hall from Beaumont High School and Blake Chavis from Beaumont West Brook High School.
The second summer session is finishing this week on the Texas A&M campus and Coach Sherman will put the football team through its paces in the evenings.
