COLLEGE STATION, Texas- The Texas A&M football team drilled for nearly two hours in shorts and helmets inside the McFerrin Athletic Center after inclement weather forced the Aggies inside on Tuesday evening.
“The weather report predicted possible storms so we came inside,” first-year A&M head coach Mike Sherman said. “It was a little more congested. We probably did less individual and more team work. We started a little early because they have finals (on Wednesday) and that gives them a little more time to study.”
When asked which running backs have been impressive in addition to incumbents Jorvorskie Lane and Mike Goodson, Sherman praised his entire group of runners.
“I think the backs as a whole have been impressive,” Sherman said. “They worked hard over the summer. I can’t highlight one over the others. They’ve all had their moments. I feel good about all of them.”
The Aggies continue preparations for their season-opener against Arkansas State with a single evening practice on Wednesday.
