COLLEGE STATION, Texas-

The Texas A&M football team had a pair of workouts on Monday as the Aggies continued preparations for the 2008 season.

?"It seemed that the offense got the best of the defense in the morning, and the defense got the best of the offense in the afternoon,?" head coach Mike Sherman said. ?"I guess that?'s the way it?'s supposed to be. Someone?'s going to win and someone?'s going to lose every ball game. We practiced twice outside today because I wanted to stay in the heat. It was really beautiful this morning with a lot of cloud cover, and a little more humid this afternoon so it drained us a little bit. We?'re just going through our preparation and making some progress. We?'ll have a scrimmage (on Tuesday) and work through that.?"

Sherman announced that Tuesday?'s scrimmage at 7:30 a.m. on Kyle Field, as well as all preseason outdoor practices, are open to Texas A&M current and former students and faculty and staff with proper identification (student ID, Aggie ring, or faculty/staff ID). Fans are not allowed at practices inside the McFerrin Athletic Center due to fire codes and lack of space on the sidelines. Visitors to Tuesday?'s scrimmage should enter the stadium through Gate 5, which is located between the Netum Steed weight room and the alumni side (west) of Kyle Field.
