COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Sophomore Kelly Dyer was selected as the Coaches' Spotlight of the Week, the A&M coaching staff announced Wednesday.
Dyer turned in a career-best eight saves in a win against Virginia Tech and added three saves in the Aggies' second road victory against No. 17 Wake Forest to equal 11 saves between the posts this past weekend.
From Germantown, Tenn., Dyer started both contests in goal. Several of her stops were big saves that helped the Aggies to their first two victories away from the 12th Man.
Dyer also has a great foot that can bring another aspect to the A&M attack. She is able to punt a ball and strike a dead ball almost two-thirds of the field.
Dyer is the daughter of Steven and Rebecca Dyer and has an older brother Justin.
The Coaches' Spotlight of the Week is new this season as the A&M coaching staff highlights a player who made a great impact in team success the previous week.
