WACO, Texas - The No. 7 Texas A&M soccer team continues Big 12 play on the road Sunday as it takes on Baylor at the Betty Lou Mays Field at 7 p.m.
The Aggies (7-1-1) face their second league opponent after a hard-fought scoreless tie in double overtime against the ninth-ranked Texas Longhorns on Friday. Baylor (4-4-1) opens Big 12 with A&M and also played 110 minutes on Friday to earn a 0-0 stalemate at Texas State.
Sophomore Whitney Hooper led the A&M attack against UT with four shots, two of which were on goal. Sophomore Kelly Dyer totaled eight saves for her second shutout of the season.
Baylor's Lotto Smith fired off three shots to guide the Bears' offense on Friday and keeper Courtney Seelhorst made four saves in a combined shutout.
A&M is 9-4-1 against the Bears and won the last six contests, dating back to 2003. Each of the previous six matches where shutouts with A&M outscoring Baylor 16-0. Last season the Ags blanked the Bears 4-0 in College Station.
