COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M senior Bronson Burgoon has been named national player of the week by Golfweek after winning the Adams Cup of Newport on Sept. 23.
Burgoon posted rounds of 69-66-69 for a tournament record 12-under 204 to win by seven shots. The win was the first of Burgoon's college career.
The Aggies also won the team title in their season opener.
