COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M softball team attempted to play the second game of the Maroon & White series on Wednesday at the Aggie Softball Complex, but a steady rain in the bottom of the second inning postponed the contest until Friday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m.

When the intrasquad scrimmage resumes on Friday, Maroon will hold a 2-1 lead with no outs and two on base in the bottom of the second frame.

White jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first after junior Macie Morrow singled through the right side and was plated on a hard-hit double to right center by freshman Taryn Broussard.

Maroon answered in the bottom of the inning to take the lead as sophomore Natalie Villarreal drew a walk before sophomore Rhiannon Kliesing launched a two-run home run to center field.

White won the first of the three-game series on Monday, 6-0. If necessary, the final contest of the series will take place on Monday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m.
