CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Texas A&M women's golf team will compete in the 33rd annual Tar Heel Invitational Friday through Sunday at the University of North Carolina's Finley Golf Course.
In addition, to A&M, the 18-team field includes host North Carolina, Tulsa, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Auburn, Florida State, South Carolina, Kent State, Michigan State, Wake Forest, Louisville, Furman, North Carolina State, Central Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina Greensboro and Ohio State.
Representing A&M will be sophomore Lauren Johnson, junior Ashley Freeman, freshman Crystal Reeves and sophomore Alexa Porter.
The Aggies opened their season with a 12th-place finish at the Duramed NCAA Preview last month in Owings Mills, Md.
"Having three weeks off between events has really helped us to prepare," A&M Coach Trelle McCombs said. "The girls have worked very hard and are ready to compete. I look for us to have a great event and we're excited to get back out there."
Live scoring will be available online at golfstat.com.
