COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M senior Laura Grace Robinson was named a Big 12/Chick-Fil-A Community of Champions recipient, the league office announced on Tuesday.

From Houston, Texas, Robinson was honored by the program that emphasizes community service, academics and sportsmanship by student-athletes.

Robinson is one of two seniors on this year's Aggie soccer team. She boasts a 3.78 grade point average in the Mays Business School Honors Program. The finance and accounting double major was honored at A&M's annual CHAMPS Award Banquet as a Texas A&M/Verizon Outstanding Athletics Scholar the past three years.

Some of her many community activities include being a Bible study leader for eighth graders, a freshman Young Life leader and a camp counselor at the Houston Racquet Club. The midfielder is a member of Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Aggie Athletes Involved.

Robinson was also recently chosen as a candidate for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 7) and was selected to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week.

Texas A&M will be awarded $3,000 from Chick-fil-A for Robinson's efforts.
