COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The five Texas A&M soccer players from Colorado were named the Coaches' Spotlight of the Week on Monday.

Junior Becca Herrera, Jennifer Kmezich, Beth West and Bri Young helped A&M to two road victories, including one against No. 12 Colorado in their hometown state.

Young netted the game-winning header in a shutout at Texas Tech and scored the equalizer at CU with three and a half minutes remaining to send the match into overtime. The center back from Castle Pines North, Colo., helped the Aggies to eight shutouts this season and leads the team with six goals.

West found the back of the net on a header in overtime to give A&M a 2-1 come from behind victory against the Buffaloes. It marked the Centennial, Colo., native's first career game-winner and third goal. The midfielder led the team with four shots at Tech and also adds five assists in her freshman campaign.

Herrera is a product of Aurora, Colo., and served Young the equalizer on a free kick to tally her team-high seventh assist of the season. The left back ranks third in the Big 12 in assists.

Out of of Larkspur, Colo., Kmezich is a strong attacking force off the bench for A&M with five goals and two assists. The forward is one of just three Aggies with five or more goals, two of which were game-winners.

The only non-freshman Coloradan is Arnold. After a stellar 2007 campaign, the junior goalkeeper from Centennial, Colo., was named to the 2008 MAC's Herman Trophy Watchlist and selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team. However, Arnold suffered a knee injury just three games into the season against North Carolina and is still on the road to recovery. Her positive attitude and energy is spread throughout the team and she is a leader on and off the field as one of the Aggies' tri-captains.

All five Aggies played for the Real Colorado club team.

Also in attendance at Sunday's match was former A&M soccer player Laura Probst. Probst is a second-year medical student at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The Coaches' Spotlight of the Week is new this season as the A&M coaching staff highlights players who made a great impact in team success the previous week.
