COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M softball team continues its fall season this weekend traveling to Spring, Texas, for the Spring Klein College Classic at Collins Park.
The Aggies begin the Classic with two games on Saturday, taking on Texas State at noon and Louisiana-Lafayette at 2 p.m. A&M finishes the tournament on Sunday with contests against Texas-San Antonio at 9 a.m. and Stephen F. Austin at 11 a.m.
The Aggies won their first fall games against Temple Junior College on Sept. 30. A&M defeated Temple 2-0 and 8-0 in a five-inning run rule. Sophomore Rhiannon Kliesing went 3-for-6 with a double and two RBI. Sophomore Natalie Villarreal added two hits, two runs and two RBI.
The 2009 A&M softball team returns 10 letterwinners from last year's national runner-up squad and welcomes five newcomers.
