CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Texas A&M women's golf team carded a 15-over-par 303 on Saturday and is tied for sixth place after two rounds of the Tar Heel Invitational at the Finley Golf Course.
Wake Forest (585) leads host North Carolina (596) and Virginia (596) by nine strokes going into Sunday's final round. Louisville (601) is in fourth, followed by Vanderbilt (602), A&M and Auburn (604), Kent State (608), Ohio State (612), North Carolina State (614), Michigan State (614), Central Florida (615), South Carolina (617), Furman (618), Kentucky (620), Florida State (626), Tulsa (630) and UNC Greensboro (645).
Wake Forest's Natalie Sheary leads the individual standings by one shot with a three-under total of 71-70=141.
A trio of Aggies are tied for 16th -- sophomore Ashley Freeman (72-77=149) and senior Lauren Johnson (73-76=149). Freshman Crystal Reeves (82-75=157) is tied for 58th and sophomore Alexa Porter (82-83=165) is in 83rd.
