CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Texas A&M All-American tandem of sophomore Conor Pollock (pronounced PAUL-luck) ended the fall season on a high note with a consolation doubles victory Saturday at the ITA National Indoor Championships held at the Boar's Head Sports Club.

Krajicek and Pollock, ranked fourth nationally in the preseason ITA rankings, defeated Andrew Landwerlen and Martin Zimmermann of Denver, 8-3, in the Men's Davenport doubles exhibition draw. They wrapped-up fall tournament play with an 8-5 mark and a Wilson/ITA South Central Region doubles title in hand.

A&M will open up the spring dual match season at home against Radford on Jan. 25, 2009, at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. First serve between the Aggies and Highlanders is set for 1 p.m.

"We have a really tough schedule lined up for us this spring," Texas A&M head coach Steve Denton said. "For our team to be successful, our players will have to train hard during the break to get mentally and physically prepared. When we come back for preseason training in January, our players will be ready to go.

"We have a lot of good teams on our schedule with a lot on the line. We are looking forward to the challenge of playing those top teams in the spring and hosting the NCAA Championships in May. Hopefully, we will get off to a fast start which will springboard us for the rest of the year."
