Texas A&M opened its new indoor track and field facility on Saturday with an exhibition against the Houston Cougars at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium at the McFerrin Athletic Complex.
The Aggies registered 14 wins among the 20 events (10 per gender) they contested.
NCAA provisional qualifying marks were attained by Porscha Lucas and Gerald Phiri in the 60 meters. Nick Cook was a double winner for Texas A&M, claiming the shot put and weight throw.
Reid won the long jump with a mark of 25-4 ¾ (7.74) to lead an Aggie 1-2-3 sweep. Keenan Hall (24-3 ½, 7.40) were second and third.
Mayo and Lucas raced in separate heats in the 60 meters. Mayo clocked the fastest time of the night with a time of 7.35 seconds. Lucas won her heat in 7.41 to place second overall. Texas A&M posted the top five times in the event with Elizabeth Adeoti (7.52), Allison George (7.54) and Khrystal Carter (7.58).
Gerald Phiri recorded the top mark in the men's 60 with a 6.72. Cook produced marks of 53-5 (16.28) in the shot put and 50-6 ¼ (15.40) in the weight throw.
The Aggies also won three of four relays contested, claiming the men's and women's 4 x 400 as well as the men's distance medley.
