Kyle Colligan homered twice and Darby Brown drove in four runs to lead No. 9 Texas A&M to the NCAA College Station Regional title with a 13-5 victory over Houston Monday evening before 3,888 fans at Olsen Field.

The regional crown is the fifth in school history and moves A&M (46-17) into a best-of-three Super Regional matchup with Rice next weekend in Houston. It also marked the first time in school history that the Aggies have won back-to-back NCAA Regional titles, claiming victories in 1993, 1999, 2004 and 2007.

Texas A&M would get all the offense it would need in the first two frames. Following a long leadoff home run by Colligan in the bottom of the first, the Aggies would score seven times in the second to open up an 8-2 lead.

Brown began the frame with a home run to right center to tie the game at two. Two batters and a pitching change later, an RBI groundout by Brodie Greene and a two-run blast by Colligan?-his second of the game and fourth of the weekend?-made the score 5-2.

A&M followed the long ball by loading the bases, and Brown cleared them with a three-run double to the left center field gap, giving him four RBI in the inning.

The Aggies added three more in the sixth?-the first coming when Dane Carter swiped home on a double steal, and the final two in the same at-bat courtesy a two-run home run by Brian Ruggiano.

Houston (42-24) chipped into the lead with a run in the seventh and two more in the eighth. Texas A&M answered by loading the bases, where Kevin Gonzalez was hit by a pitch to drive in a run and Brodie Greene drew a five-pitch walk, making the score 13-5.

Scott Migl did not factor in the decision but gave A&M a strong start, lasting four innings and giving up six hits and a pair of earned runs. He walked one and fanned three.

Kyle Thebeau (6-4) earned the win, allowing five hits and two earned runs in 3 1/3 innings of work. Travis Starling threw 1 2/3 of shutout relief.

Houston starter Ty Stuckey (3-4) was saddled with the loss, allowing three hits and four earned runs in one inning of action.

Seven Aggies?-Carter, Duran, Colligan, Ruggiano, Brown, Luke Anders and Brooks Raley?-were named to the All-Tournament Team, while Colligan was tabbed the weekend?™s Most Outstanding Player.

The Houston Super Regional gets underway between the Aggies and Owls on Saturday at 2 p.m. (televised on ESPNU). Game two is set for Sunday at 6 p.m. (ESPN2), while a possible third game will be played on Monday at either 11:30 a.m. (ESPN) or 6 p.m. (ESPN2).

Any tickets remaining out of A&M?™s allotment will go on sale to season ticket holders and other 12th Man Foundation donors beginning Wednesday at 12 p.m.

Student tickets will go on sale on Wednesday at 9 a.m. All-session tickets will be $39 and current A&M students will be eligible to purchase one ticket each. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be available over the phone (888-99-AGGIE) or at the stadium ticket office. A valid ID must be presented in order to purchase tickets.
