COLLEGE STATION - The eighth-ranked Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team will host the University of Houston at the Student Rec Center Natatorium on Friday at 5 p.m.
The Aggies (6-0) are coming off a 163-137 win over No. 18 SMU in Dallas on Saturday. The Aggies won 11 of 16 events en route to their third-straight dual meet win over the Mustangs. It marked the third time this season they have beaten a dual meet opponent ranked No. 18 in the country (Missouri, Penn State). A&M has posted a 24-1 dual meet record over the past three seasons and has been ranked in the top 10 since October of 2006.
Houston (9-1) has put together one of the best dual meet records in its history so far this season. The Cougars have swept Conference USA Swimmer and Diver of the Week Awards four times during the 2008-09 campaign. Senior Sasha Schwendenwein has won the Conference USA swimming honor three times while fellow senior Andrea Pa'lmai has won the award once. Junior diver Anastasia Pozdniakova has won Conference USA Diver of the Week five times so far this season as well.
A&M holds a 22-9 advantage in the all-time series against the Cougars, including having won each of the last 18 match-ups. In their last meeting, the Aggies won a 145-96 decision in College Station on Feb. 1, 2008.

Admission to Texas A&M swimming & diving events is free of charge. The 12th Man Team Rewards Program will be in attendance to stamp/scan members.
