COLLEGE STATION--The Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball will be formally dedicated during 9 a.m. ceremonies at the facility adjoining Reed Arena.

The $23 million, 68,000-square-foot state-of-the art center houses practice courts and training rooms for both the men's and women's basketball teams, along with an array of related facilities and offices. It is regarded as one of the premier facilities of its kind in the nation.

Joining in the ceremonies will be representatives of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, the Texas A&M University administration, the Athletic Department and the 12th Man Foundation. The center is named for Kay `02 and Jerry'72 Cox of Houston and Dorothy and Artie `65 McFerrin of Kingwood, major donors for the project.
