COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The No. 19 Texas A&M softball team continues its 12-game road stretch at Texas State on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. in San Marcos, Texas.

The Aggies look to rebound after a tough weekend in Baton Rouge, La. Despite going 1-4 in the Easton Tiger Classic, sophomore Holly Ridley were named to the all-tournament team.

From Frisco, Texas, Villarreal led the Aggies hitting .500 with a .650 on base percentage at the tournament. She had a team best seven hits, six walks and two stolen bases. Right fielder and co-captain Ridley tallied four hits, a team-high five RBIs and an impressive .600 slugging percentage. She laced two hits for extra bases, including the first triple of the year and her third home run.

Sophomore Rhi Kliesing and freshman Rebecca Arbino have been solid in the circle posting a team earned run average of 1.84. Kliesing has two shutouts on the season with 34 strikeouts.

A&M goes into the mid-week contest with a 5-5 record, playing just one more game than the 5-4 Bobcats.

Texas State is coming off of a 2-0 win over 14th-ranked Houston and finished 3-1 last week with wins over Texas, Oklahoma State and Houston. The Bobcats fell to No. 7 Oklahoma, 3-2.

A&M leads the all-time series 53-9 against Texas State and blanked the Bobcats last year in College Station, 11-0. Junior Macie Morrow, Kliesing and Ridley all went yard in the five-inning victory.
