COLLEGE STATION - The Texas A&M equestrian team moved up one spot in the latest edition of the Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian National Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.

The Aggies (6-3), fresh off a 15-9 home win over Kansas State on Friday, moved from fourth to third in the new coaches poll. A&M jumped ahead of idle Auburn, who spent much of the season at the top spot until being knocked from their perch earlier this month.

For the first time in the history of the poll, a Big 12 team sits at the top. Thanks to a win over Kansas State on Saturday coupled with No. 1 Georgia's 12-8 loss to a streaking South Carolina team, Baylor rose from second to first in the new rankings.

South Carolina's win enabled them to switch spots with Oklahoma State at the No. 5 and 6 positions. TCU and Kansas State both held strong in seventh and eighth while Fresno State and New Mexico State switched spots at ninth and 10th.

The Aggies will be back in action on Mar. 7 when they take on No. 6 Oklahoma State as part of their first annual alumni reunion weekend.
