A strong morning session by the Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team saw the Aggies set a pool record and chalk up another Zone D diving qualification at the Big 12 Championships at the University of Missouri Aquatic Center.

Alejandro Jacobo's school standard of 53.45.

In the diving well, the Aggies' Canadian tandem of senior Eric Sehn and freshman Cam McLean were the top two qualifiers in the three-meter springboard, but the highlight of the prelims was A&M junior Henry Stevens achieving his NCAA Zone D qualification with a career-best score of 323.25. Stevens is the fourth Aggie to punch his ticket to the Zone meet, which determines the NCAA field.

In all, the Aggie men qualified 12 swimmers or divers to tonight's Championship finals - three in three-meter diving (Sehn, McLean and Stevens) and the 100 breast (Lavery, Nikita Denisyako and Jason Bergstrom) and 100 fly (Tyler Welch) and one in the 200 free (Ryan Loney).
