LAS VEGAS, Nev. - No. 20-ranked Texas A&M carded a 299 on Saturday and fell two spots to 15th place after two rounds of the Southern Highlands Intercollegiate at Southern Highlands Golf Course.

No. 3 Oklahoma State leads by 12 strokes at 561, followed by host UNLV (573), Arizona (576), No. 4 Clemson (581), No. 7 Florida (583), No. 11 Georgia Tech (584), No. 1 Georgia (587), No. 19 UCLA (589), No. 2 Southern California (589), No. 9 Arizona State (594), Charlotte (600), Auburn (603), California (603), No. 15 Texas (605) and A&M (308-299=607).

Oklahoma State's Morgan Hoffmann is the individual leader with a 10-under total of 72-62=134.

A&M junior Andrea Pavan is tied for 37th (76-73=149), senior Bronson Burgoon is tied for 41st (76-74=150), sophomore Nacho Elvira is tied for 51st (79-73=152), sophomore Conrad Shindler is tied for 65th (77-79=156) and freshman Jordan Russell is tied for 77th (83-80=163). Sophomore John Hurley, playing as an individual, is tied for 65th (82-74=156).

"We're really disappointed in how we played," A&M Coach J.T. Higgins said. "We know we are a lot better than that. We put ourselves in some bad spots and just hit some bad shots. You can't do that against this level of competition on this type of golf course. We'll get after it tomorrow and see if we can salvage something positive out of this."
