COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The 11th-ranked Texas A&M baseball team (14-9) opens a six-game homestand on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. when the Aggies host a hot UT Arlington (12-10) team at Olsen Field.

A&M is tied for third in the Big 12 at 3-3 after dropping two of three this past weekend at Missouri. The Aggies snapped a five-game losing skid with a gutsy 6-5 win over the Tigers Sunday. The Mavericks, meanwhile, have won six in a row and are coming off a convincing three-game sweep of Northwestern State in Arlington.

Junior Chad Sherman (0-0, 4.50) is scheduled to start for A&M, while UTA will counter with senior lefty Ryan Robinson (1-1, 5.56).

Texas A&M leads the all-time series with the Mavericks, 20-7, and has won three of the last four meetings between the schools. The teams split two games last season, with each team winning on its home field.

Tuesday marks the first of two mid-week games at Olsen, as the Aggies will face Northwestern State on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. in a game rescheduled from March 11. A&M will host Big 12 leader Kansas this weekend.
