AUSTIN - Texas A&M junior Andrea Pavan tied for fifth and the No. 20-ranked Aggies placed 10th on Tuesday at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the University of Texas Golf Club.
No. 3 Oklahoma State cruised to a 25-stroke victory with an 863 total. No. 17 Arkansas finished second at 888, followed by No. 2 Southern California (891), No. 15 Texas (896), No. 18 TCU (901), No. 13 Texas Tech (904), Pepperdine (906), SMU (907), New Mexico (912), A&M (301-306-307=914), Baylor (916), UNLV (919), BYU (927), New Mexico State (928), Tulsa (931), Oklahoma (932), Rice (940) and Air Force (961).
USC's Tom Glissmeyer (69-70-73=212) and Oklahoma State's Morgan Hoffman (72-70-70=212) ties for first in the individual standings. Pavan was eight shots back with a 71-71-78=220 total.
A&M sophomore Nacho Elvira (78-79-73=230) tied for 37th, freshman Bronson Burgoon (77-78-81=236) tied for 71st and sophomore Conrad Shindler (79-78-82=239) placed 79th.
The Aggies will compete in the U.S. Collegiate Championship starting on Monday in Atlanta, Ga. A&M plays host to teh Aggie Invitational April 18-19 at Traditions Golf Club in Bryan.
