COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The 15th-ranked Texas A&M baseball team (20-11) makes a brief stop at Olsen Field on Tuesday when the Aggies play host to the surging Houston Cougars (13-17) in a rematch of last year's NCAA College Station Regional final. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.

A&M, which just wrapped up a three-game series at Texas Tech, will play its next four following the Houston game on the road.

Despite dropping two of three over the weekend in Lubbock, Texas A&M enters Tuesday's game winners of seven of its last nine contests and sits tied for second in the Big 12 standings at 7-5. The Aggies are hitting .289 as a team with 40 home runs, 194 RBIs and 47 stolen bases, and average just over seven runs a game.

Houston, meanwhile, has won six in a row and eight of its last 10, and is coming off a sweep of Texas-Pan American that saw the Cougars outscore the Broncs 38-7. U of H is hitting .292 on the year with 15 home runs, 151 RBIs and 36 stolen bases, and averages 5.5 runs per contest.

Junior Chad Sherman (0-0, 5.62 ERA) will make his third start of the year and will face off against Cougar freshman Mo Wiley (1-1, 6.17).

A&M leads the all-time series, 107-53-1, and has won two straight and nine of the last 11 meetings between the schools. The teams met earlier this season, as the Aggies picked up a 5-3 win over Houston on March 1 in the final game of the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park.
