COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M soccer team scored twice and held Oklahoma State to five shots in a 2-0 victory at the Aggie Soccer Stadium on Friday night.

Junior Natalie Currie scored the Aggies' first goal in the 36th minute from sophomore Rachel Shipley and in the 50th minute, junior Amber Gnatzig netted A&M's second and final goal.

“I was pleased with how our team improved as the game went on,” said head coach G Guerrieri. Recording another shutout win over one more NCAA Tournament team is great.”

The win keeps the Aggies undefeated at 6-0-1 in the spring season. OSU, the defending Big 12 regular season champions, fell to 3-3-3 in their final exhibition match.

A&M outshot the Cowgirls 10-5 and forced the OSU keeper to make four saves.

In order to honor the memory of Erin Buenger, a member of the Mystic '97 soccer team who recently lost her battle with cancer, the Aggies wore green and white socks at the match and the goalkeepers wore solid green, Erin's favorite color. There was also a moment of silence to celebrate and remember Erin's life.

The Aggies take to the field for their final two games of the nontraditional season on Saturday, April 18 at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
