COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M softball team closes out a five-game homestand hosting Baylor at the Aggie Softball Complex on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
A&M (26-15, 4-5 Big 12) is coming off of its first Big 12 series sweep of the season. After splitting with Oklahoma State midweek, the Aggies made a dramatic come-from-behind victory Friday with a walk-off, two-run home run from senior Erin Glasco. A&M then blanked the Cowgirls on Saturday with a two-hit shutout in the circle from sophomore Erin Glasco launched a walk-off, two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to give A&M a 5-4, come-from-behind win over Texas Tech on Friday before sophomore Rhi Kliesing threw a two-hit shutout on Saturday to lead the Aggies to their first conference sweep in 2008.
From Pearland, Texas, Kliesing (17-10) picked up her fifth shutout and was two infield singles away from a perfect game. Only three balls left the infield and Kliesing threw just 59 pitches, less than half of the 153 thrown by Tech. She did not give up a walk and added a strikeout.
Glasco walked three times Saturday and added an RBI double. Kliesing also helped her cause at the plate, blasting a solo shot to center field.
