COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M junior Donald Sloan has submitted his name for the 2009 NBA Draft but will not hire an agent, leaving him the option of returning for his senior season.

"My dream has always been to play in the NBA," Sloan said. "I appreciate Coach (Mark) Turgeon's support as I go through this process. I love A&M and my teammates and if things don't work out in the draft, I'll come back and get ready for what could be a special season for us next year."

Sloan, a 6-foot-3 guard from Dallas, was the Aggies' second-leading scorer with an 11.8 average and led the team in assists with 3.1 per game. The Aggies have advanced to the NCAA Tournament and won at least 24 games in each of Sloan's three seasons.

The NBA Draft is June 25.
