COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Aggie fans are invited to join the Texas A&M men's and women's tennis teams for an NCAA Selection Show viewing party to be held on Tuesday, April 28 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

Both teams will gather at 4 p.m. at the Stadium Club entrance of the facility as the announcement of the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Championship brackets will be televised live on ESPNEWS at approximately 4:20 p.m. (CT). ESPNEWS is located on DirecTV Channel 207 and Dish Network Channel 142 for fans who cannot attend the viewing in person. Additionally, the ESPNEWS audio signal is available on the ESPNEWS channel on XM Radio and SIRIUS Radio.

The Aggie men, ranked No. 11 nationally in the Campbell/ITA rankings, are expecting to make their 16th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance since 1994 and 17th overall in program history. A&M has compiled a 15-8 overall record under third-year head coach Steve Denton including three top 15 victories. The Aggies finished second in the Big 12 Conference standings and advanced to the Big 12 Championship semifinals in Norman, Okla.

The Aggie women, ranked No. 35 in the nation, are looking to make their 10th consecutive and 15th overall NCAA Tournament appearance under 24th-year head coach Bobby Kleinecke. A&M is 14-10 overall on the season and reached the Big 12 semifinals. The Aggies have advanced to the NCAA second round in each of the last six seasons.

First-and second-round competition will be played from May 8-10 at 16 selected host sites across the country. The winners from each of the 16 sites will advance to the team championship to be held at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center on the Texas A&M University campus in College Station.

The men's round of 16 will begin on May 14 and the women's round of 16 will begin on May 15. Participants in the 64-player singles championship and 32-team doubles championship bracket will be announced and posted on Wednesday, April 29 before 5 p.m. (CT) at www.NCAA.org. Individuals selected to participate will join the final 16 men's and women's teams on May 20-25 in College Station.

This season marks the fourth year that both the men's and women's champions will be decided at a combined site. Georgia is the defending men's champion and UCLA is the defending women's champion.

A&M To Host 2009 NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Championships...Texas A&M will serve as the host of the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Championships. The men's tournament gets underway on Thursday, May 14 and the women start one day later at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. The men's and women's team finals are slated for May 19. The 64-player singles tournament begins on May 20 and doubles begins on May 21. The finals for both men's and women's singles and doubles will be played on May 25.
